The CALACS particularly advocate to defend the collective rights of women and girls; to provide alternatives to institutional analyses, interventions and practices; and to offer quality, adapted services accessible throughout Quebec.

The CALACS are also characterized by their more demanding activities, which can take the form of demonstrations, petitions, public statements and support for various causes of feminist and community movements.
